Vista print - foil cards

Have to be honest - I was impressed with their service and qualirt for the price. Sure, you have to wade through the minefiled of little 'extras' they keep trying to tag on to your order but overall I found them very good.

Much better that some Ebay based card printers that tend to be some fella with a home PC / Printer set up and the graphics skills of a banana.

I would avoid mate. Many of my clients have went to Vista-Print after I have completed their design and they wish for the sake of the extra cash they had just went the whole shabang with me. There cards are cheap yes., But they also look cheap.

We used our usual printer who is very good (Elephant Graphics) - but someone recommended Moo.com to us.
Online service, you can personalise each card...We might consider this for short runs, if we wanted to promote something specific.

Just the bog standard type - nothing special. Like the ones that are offered 'free'
Used one of their templates as they happened to have something very apt for the business and went from there.

Delivered in about 5 working days, well packed and well printed. Have had better in the past but have paid much more for them - I figure there are very few occasions where the quality of your business card (unless very poor of course) will swing a deal for you.

lol, I'm not having a go, but from my experience Vista quality is terrible when compared to similarly priced services from a good supplier!

The card they use feels cheap, the print quality is terrible and more often than not they 'save' by not making the cards the size you requested!

Maybe in comparison to an Ebay based seller but if you use a proper firm then the results are not even comparable.

Their service is bad, and the way they 'suck' you in to join their partnerships is questionable to say the least. Had a massive battle with them involving Trading Standards, as they sign you up for partner service, of which there's no way to order the cards online, without signing up to dodgy partners travel offers, of which 'the offer' described wasnt even provided or delivered to us!

In addition, these idiots took several funds from our bank account in £9.99 installments without providing the actual service. Don't bother getting Consumer Direct or Trading Standards involved as they just say "You signed the agreement, so nothing you can do" - my company lost £90 to VistaPrint.co.uk - AVOID!!!!

On calling VistaPrint, they were argumentative and refused to refund and still didnt provide a service for our £90. I was ready to kill someone, I tell you...... We recieved no offers for our money whatsoever.

Avoid this company.

You are right though - I have had some cards printed by a local guy and they were far superior, at a superior price as well. Looking at the other posts here I think I must have been lucky getting decent cards!

sorry but i have to gulp and vote in FAVOUR of Vista Print...paid £9 and got 150 business cards, business card holder and 250 stickers for an art exhibition i'm doing in a few weeks...arrived in 3 days and all fine! Not as good as Good Print for quality but £9...had to buy it at that price just to check them out and for fast, cheap and OKish stationery there good in my books.

Goodprint all the way if you want glossy, next day delivery and great customer service though.

The online printer I use does runs of 50, high quality matt or glosse finish for £15 including P&P - so the price can barely be described as superior! For the sake of a few quid extra the difference is massive!

Who do you use? We're about to get flyers done and want cheap but good quality (doesn't everyone??)

I just received 250 free business cards. They are pretty basic, but since I am just promoting my website (which is a forum) as opposed to selling anything, I don't think it really matters. I just need something to give women (it's a parenting site) with my url on it.

I also ordered some car magnets, pens and an outdoor banner, which I have to say are great. They serve their purpose and for a start up business like mine, it's really my only option.

Scotmum, i'm the same - have recently used Vista for printing business cards. Ok they're not the best quality in the world, but i added my logo to personalise, and at least they do the pain of printing and cutting to size for you! I also got some freebies, business card holder, stickers, postcards (Which did look excellent), as well as 250 business cards for around £20 including postage. Will be using them again!

i would avoid Vistaprint - to me the cards never seem of a good quality - its not to expensive to get decent business cards done now anyway.

remember business cards are representing your company as well

I wouldn't dream of using Vistaprint for our main business cards, but their budget cards are incredibly cheap (especially if you use one of the many special offers kicking around).

If you need to hand out lots of cards, the card quality isn't too important, and cost is important, it'd be very hard to find a better solution.

I agree with the 'stay away' gang....I also had problems when 'signed up' to their Vista Reward scheme, which they did so without my knowledge. The only reward was Vista gaining £9.95 per month from me...I did complain and received it back from my bank, but had to close the account to prevent them from taking each month. Would never use them again for this reason...
