Tried to put my url in my signature and it won't let me :|

Could someone point out the obvious thing I have missed please?

thanks!

You can put the url in but it won't be viewed as a hyperlink. As TechFox says, that's an option available with full membership

Thanks guys, I had read the rules as I wondered if that would be the case, but didn't immediately see it. Clearly there is a caffeine deficiency over here which needs addressing.

in marketing terms its ok, but for SEO, it will be no follow, and not counted by google ;)

Sig links have little if any SEO benefit (that was watered down by a couple of years back) - the real benefit is Forum members clicking through if you have something of interest.

Think of them purely as a traffic tool - I get 10-20 visits per day from this Forum

Just to clarify, you are not allowed to put a URL in either as a hyperlink or not as a hyperlink if you are not a fully paid up member. Both are against the rules.

As you can now see, I have done the decent thing and handed over the loot.

Are we sure of this?

as my google stats are showing links from the forum?
Earl, Freelancer was incorrect - the links are not "nofollow"
