It's hard to believe that 20 years ago this month, on the 8th to be precise, I was sat working from my kitchen table trying to get Quick Formations off the ground up to my neck in debt with three credit cards and a home improvement loan being used to pay my mortgage, doing IT contracting and a bit of web design to try and make ends meet...and then UK Business Forums was born to bring people in similar situations together to support each other and grow together.

I've since sold Quick Formations (which remains a client of my main business today), and I sold UK Business Forums in 2007 and purchased them back in 2021. So much can and has happened in those 20 years!

Some quite amazing characters have been and gone over those years.
Indeed, I have tried to contact the likes of SillyJokes and others but alas unable to.

Interesting factoid, you are the oldest active account on here beyond mine. I'm sure that's worthy of a nice game of dominos or checkers with our pipe and slippers in front of a nice warm heater in our old peoples home. ?

Ive been around on these forums since 2008 from the very early days then when it changed to Kashflow forums stopped using the site as it seemed to loose its roots.

Only yesterday came back across it, dug out my old profile and thought, why not lets get back to helping people. 15 years additional experience since I was last here so fingers crossed can offer so useful help and advice :) Glad to see it back to where it was in the early days.

When I first joined I was a freelancer working from home, went onto build an eCommerce agency with 100 staff, offices in 4 countries and worked with some of the worlds largest brands. Sold out of that agency a couple of years ago and since then been working on a new venture with the odd bit of Shopify, Magento and Wordpres consultancy work.

Looking forward to catching up with new and old members.

I joined in the autumn of 2003. Not many of us left from those early days.

But it was good back then, and mainly still is today.

Some quite amazing characters have been and gone over those years.

Dunno when I got involved, maybe 2005?

Our monthly revenue in November 2005 was £10,059. That's a lot higher than I remember it being. We'd been trading six months.

I remember when it was all fields
A couple of years back I drove past the area I used to live in Luton, where I used to live when UKBF started.
The Electrolux factory that used to be down the road is now a housing estate, and the fields next to the SKF factory which was somewhat opposite my home are now an industrial estate.
