A Press Release was done for me this morning at 10.30am by Alby from Glitterz by 1.30pm I had an order directly from it. The order came from a company that manages one of the UK's leading rock stars. The company concerned will showcase the product I'm supplying them with and will credit me as the supplier.

Now thats what I call an excellent return on investment, cheers mate thanks again!

It's got nothing to do with Teddy Bears, but here is a good story.

When David Beckham's third child was born we sent a personalised teddy bear to Beckhingham Palace, we weren't sure of the address but it must have got there. Two days later I had a phone call from Victoria's mum saying that out of all the gifts the child received she loved this little Personalised Teddy Bear and could we please do two more for the other children. We duly sent them off and David sent us a cheque, a hand written thank you note, and a signed photograph.

Was it something that is easy to sell?

Was the story published somewhere? Has it definately come from the Press release written?

I bet Neil Lennon, the manager of Celtic would have preferred to receive a personalised bear. Come to think of it, there may be some PR mileage if you sent him one, your bear might be featured on ITV news when they use a controlled explosion on it :D

Yes it was easy to sell as I'm only one of a few companies in the UK that offer this service
Well it wouldn't be much of a Press Release if it hadn't been published somewhere! and Yes the guy said I've just read your Press Release

The beauty of this site is that the Press Releases get indexed by Google in a matter of minutes. One of my articles posted there has been on Page 1 of Google for two months (I added some links to the article). The article has also been copied and posted on a number of other sites with the links still in and people I speak to have told me they have read it. It has brought in a number of very valuable leads one from a superbrand, one from a top marketing company and quite a few others.

One valuable lesson I've learned from this is the Power of a Headline.

Near Field communication Chips and a Quarter Pounder!

Whats all that about you might ask?

I must thank Alby, I know I big him up but he has been a pleasure to work with and my ROI has been fantastic. I'm not the most eloquent person in the world and my command of English is preety poor. But with my input and Alby's help I have had a level of exposure that's beyond my wildest dreams.

Rangers Football Club are an association football club based in Glasgow, Scotland, who currently play in the Scottish Premier League. The club are nicknamed the Gers, Teddy Bears (from the rhyming slang for the same) Wikepedia

I doubt it as Rangers won the SPL!

Thanks Paul,

Just for info, I own online-news-today, and it is Google News syndicated website, which also has over 220k backlinks pointing to it, according to Google Webmaster tools, from numerous locations due to the viral appeal of the articles posted, which no doubt helps in ranking articles for keywords.

Many of the paid for PR type services can be expensive, and when working to tight budgets, don't always provide the return on investment.

Just wanted to put my experience across on here, which has been very positive and we haven't yet even seen all of the benefit - which can take up to 2 weeks.

My website (appliances website) completed appox 4 days ago using the UK 75 anchor text package (£35):

keyword1 Leicester - was around 50 - 70, now ranked 13.
keyword 2Leicester was unranked, now ranked 34.
keyword3leicester was unranked, now ranked 20.
keyword4 leicester was ranked around 90, now ranked 14.

I am only 4 days in so expect to see a further slight increase. Another PR with these keywords should see a page 1 ranking is assume.

My partners clothes website using the 100 anchor text package only completed 36 hours ago so not all keywords yet seeing the benefit because it hasn't had enough time to do so:

keyword1 was position 12, no change.
keyword2 was unranked, now position 34.
keyword3 unranked, still unranked.
keyword4 was 38 now position 20.

Still number 1 as of 19/06/2011 09:48 for news 'keyword1'.

Already an increase in 36 hours of completing, I will post here next week to let you know the final outcome. I was paying Click Conslt £2k month and this guy managed to get better, quicker results for £35 on my site - shocking!

Anyway highly recommended.
