Hi all,

Most of my enquiries come through to my mobile phone for car parts.
However I am employing a part timer and wish for these messages to go to email so my staff can deal with while I'm sourcing new leads.
Sadly where most of my custom is retail, it's easy for them to drop a sly text while at work.
When my staff attend to the enquiries I want them to be able to text back to the customer.
What services are there available?
I've received text before from companies under the company name despite not having them in my phone book, can I implement this?

There are many companies that offer this sort of thing. Esendex is a company I've used for years and they've alwAys been very good.

You're going to be paying 3 - 5p per text in most places. It's not mega bucks if the volume is low. If the volume is high the next option is to set up your own gsm gateway which will take an unlimited sms SIM card and send texts out ( and get them back in ) through that.

I'll have to see if they have a way of choosing the number or possibly having a short code

It's got to be 10 years I've used them. Virtually no downtime and great delivery. But not the cheapest.

I think service over cost is my preferred method while it's fresh and growing.
I have very little overhead thank god and looking at the site it allows virtual numbers and short codes so seems ideal.
