Text speak in adverts? Arghhh

Just came across this "advert" and made me go arghhhhhhhh and instantly made me give a stigma to the business owner!

have you got a problem with your garden not got time to sort it out cos u so bizzie or is your hubby away on tour then give us a call or just pm me for any details i have slots for wed and sat left but if u need something done alittle sooner i see what i can do for u phone xxxxxxxxxxx

This just seems to shout out laziness IMHO.

It does look highly unprofessional but at the same time taken out of context I can't really judge it... Personally it would not appeal to me but an advert is meant to appeal for whatever reason, if it connects more with its users then why not stand out from the crowd?

It was in a "business" group on Facebook, for a local networking group I attend. All of the members are 30+ with their own businesses.

I don't have a problem with "text" speak or "1337" speak in adverts.

If the advert is targeting that particular audience then what's wrong with it?

I wonder if it is them trying our different types of marketing, or they are lazy! I guess on a Facebook Group it isn't quite as bad as them getting flyers made up!

But he has already explained that it is in a B2B group. Clearly he is just going to get laughed out the group, I already made the point that as an advert standing alone, there is nothing wrong with, but then he explained the context.

I would be in the target market (being under 30 and "bizzie" but I wouldn't put a message like that out for my business.

This message was in a facebook group, for a local networking group which has business owners, all 30+ etc.

The message was just pure laziness IMHO.
