Hello, everyone, I work on Reusable Promotional Bags export business in China. These months I have touched some UK importers, wholesalers and retailers, but only get kind response that like 'sorry, I don't need now, maybe in future.':)

Do you have some friendly advice for me? Thank you in advance.

Regards, Fanny

Hello Fanny,

You do not have an easy task. My thinking is that almost all business's who have a need for Promotional Bags already have their supplier agreements.

Is that all Ningbo Tecobak makes? Do you have any other products that you could offer alongside your bags?

No more ideas I am afraid. Sorry.

Hi Graemel, Thanks for your reply. Yes, you are right. They all have the long-term & stable supplier connection. But I think they maybe have an idea to expand product lines or change a supplier, maybe. So possibly there is a chance for me. it's too hard...but I will continue.
For right now my product cover reusable promotional bags. I'm thinking to enlarge, festival greeting cards.
Regards, Fanny

By the way, our company lanyardtimes specializes in manufacturing and exporting custom lanyards.

Hello Olivia, you are partially correct. It is harder. But then we have the period in December/January also where many businesses close for two weeks as well. Its one long holiday in the west!

In the UK, those people with children at school will usually have a holiday between 25th July (approximately) and 3rd September. The business will be open, but the person you want to contact may not be there.

In France and Spain, many businesses close for the whole of August.

Is the 're-useable' something that you could market as being more environmentally friendly?

If they are regular plastic, then you can forget this! Bio degradeable would work.
Yes, all the bags use the eco-friendly fabric. Like Nonwoven, Cotton, Canvas, Jute, etc...

Potential buyers/importers I have figured out are mostly in fields like grocery stores, exhibitions, events, organizations and so on. I searched many B2B websites and found there is large demand for eco bags. Propably I haven't reached the right person, so get no response.

I think where many Far East companies go wron is in not establishing a small distrobution company in the UK to sell and stock their basic items and collect the larger orders

Few of the small to medium companies are willing to gamble on Far east goods from unknown suppliers and also meet high transport coasts with big order values

Many Indian and Pakistan companies have UK offices and small stockrooms to solve the problems

Also many Chinese companies are not willing to take a gamble and send out a low cost sample of say $1-3 to the UK but want the UK company to send postage costs etc to them by Western Union, in England the seller has to sell his products, not just tell people they are available, which seems the Chinese method

Hello Chris,

this is interesting. I wonder if it is a feature of the type of product you are buying? Does it make it easier for your competitors also?

Are there any Indian or Pakistani companies who have UK offices or small stockrooms outside the textile industry? Its not a trick question, I just had not heard of this before.
