We are a European based, American owned designer and manufacturer wheelchair accessories. We would like to find a commission based sales person to grow our business. The sales person would contact disability supply companies and offer our products for sale. This could be an ideal job for a wheelchair user.

I am concerned about picking the right person as the image of our company is important to me. I am not looking for the "hard sell" type of person, but rather a person who would act as though they are his/her products and develop relations together with sales. We are actually looking for people in several European markets.

I would be curious to know about the experience of anyone who has done this sort of thing. Do you have any recommendations about how to find the right person? Suggestions about what to avoid?

A big post office has just opened in Leicester. They had trouble in supplying these products as they were too near another distributor of mobility products and are now going through a third party. This might be a good option for them as the post office is situated among a high proportion of mobility restricted individuals!!

I think that there must be a misunderstanding. I am talking about finding a sales agent, who would contact disability companies. The disability companies would sell our products to disabled users. The sales agent would earn a commission from the companies. When the company reorders, the sales agent would continue to make a commission and so on.

I have never heard that Post Offices sell disability products! Does that really happen in the UK? I can not imagine who I would call up and speak to about that.
