Knowing something and Teaching it to others are two different things. If you are not doing the job it will be harder, how up to date are you as content changes?
You can register on sites for tutor services, Tutorhunt mentioned first tutors etc etc there are a few online. Register on these sites your services perhaps if you can teach.
Are there many others already doing this? If your target audience is only 2,500 and there are others already it will be hard to get business?
Just thinking of a different angle: Is it worth exploring making sets of training support videos? Or preparation help videos or something like that? Is there a different way to explore this?
Thanks, I appreciate you taking the time to reply.
I agree with you — knowing a subject and actually teaching it well are not the same thing. That is why I’m not looking at this as just “I know the subject, so I can teach it.” I’ve been tutoring since 2007, supporting pupils through Maths, English and Science tuition in Batley and online, so the teaching side, exam changes and student support are things I take seriously.
You’re right about Tutor Hunt and First Tutors. I may use those, but I also want to build the Improve Tuition website and brand properly, so parents looking for a trusted tutor in Batley or online tuition across the UK can come directly to us, rather than relying fully on tutor platforms.
The competition point is fair too. My aim is not only a small local audience. The Batley tuition centre is important, but online tuition means I can also reach parents across the UK and possibly overseas as well.
The idea about support videos or preparation resources is a good one. That could work alongside tuition, especially for parents and students who need extra help before committing.
