Still no integration with LinkedIn. UKBF, this is pathetic!

    That's pretty clueless.

If that's what you think LinkedIn is, then you're missing out.

I'm connected with very senior people in many organisations and been invited to many top events. I have far more intelligent conversations there than I get here. I've tweaked my feed so I now get the top news in my industry everyday. I also get thousands of people finding me in LinkedIn search; it drives tons of enquiries and clients. All without paying a penny.

Some of the most respected members on here like @The Resolver @Financial-Modeller etc are all on LinkedIn as are @Ray Newman @Kat Haylock Chris Goodfellow and all SIFT staff, present and past! Some are quite active on there, like Chris Goodfellow.

SIFT themselves keep extolling the virtues of using LinkedIn.

So, yes, sure, dismiss it as a bunch of jobseekers. But it is a professional and business network unlike Facebook, a social network with which SIFT does give us the opportunity to connect our profiles.

Sorry, you've got the wrong reason for SIFT not connecting us with LinkedIn. They recognise the importance, they just haven't bothered to get their finger out.

@Clinton It would be the normal thing on here to say you are talking b£"£££ks but I am not going to do that .
I will try to further my quest for knowledge on this platform and try to enjoy the benefits that you enjoy

    Many Thanks

I do not care. I rarely want to share stuff from here there or vice versa, I do not want to use it to login. I do not want Sift and LinkedIn sharing data bout me. I do not use the existing social media integrations for that reason.

Being able to connect on Linked in to people from here is would be good (I have already done so with a few), but that does not need integration, just a link to one's LinkedIn profile. You could link in your signature to encourage that.

It’s not in Sift’s interest to link your account with LinkedIn. They get revenue from adverts not social shares.

As an aside, my business gains zero from LinkedIn. It’s not the sort of service people look for or research on that platform. I could connect with movers and shakers and get some traction but that would just generate more work for me. And I don’t need more work.

I have a linked in account and every Tom dick and idiot wants to connect with me because I’m a director on a couple of boards. I have zero interest in it, thousands of “connections” I couldn’t care less about and I certainly wouldn’t want to link UKBF to it.

I come here as a distraction and to see if I can add any value or alternate views to fellow businesses that may have situations I have knowledge of.

Appreciate LinkedIn is a marketing tool for some but I see it as a massive cv database that recruiters keep fishing in
