Hi

Does anyone know of anywhere I can get £3500 - £5000 business loan for my new business without having to go through a bank. Unfortunately I have a poor credit rating but have a great business idea and business plan ready to go. I have tried the Princes's Trust but you have to be unemployed to be eligible and I am going to need to work alongside my business for a little while.

Any advice would be great!

Thanks

Anna

Poor credit rating could mean anything from a default on a bill to several ccj's. The comment about not going through a bank would lead me to think its more than a default you have then .... do you have anything to back up your idea/plan with ie anything to secure it against? Any credit cards? If you don't want to post this on open forum more than understand and you can pm if you want. Without knowing slightly more, its difficult to push you in the right/correct direction.

Start up finance has been a very hot subject on many occasions on the forums, if you do a search via the search function you will probably find them.

It is a massive grey area and can be a long and frustrating road, and in most cases you won't come out with anything at all.

Sorry I know this doesn't help you but you need to be prepared for the road ahead.

Craig.

If the business has a poor credit rating, its tricky - A good business plan is always important to convince a lender/investor - try Wisteria's business plan tip page to see if you got all the essentials in there before you approach lenders.

Good luck!
