SSL certificates and facebook canvases

With more people using facebook securely via https it means we have to create a secure facebook canvas using https

Does anyone know if their is a mimimum grade of SSL certificate that facebook accept and what is the best (cheapest) way of providing https if I don't need it for anything else except crerating facebook apps?

Think any SSL Cert should work.

With no problems at all. If on shared hosting you will need a Dedicated IP Address too

Thanks, when you say think, is there anywhere at facebook that tells us for sure what the minimum requirements are? or have you got a secure canvas working OK on facebook using the most basic SSL?

I don't really want to pay out for a dedicated IP address and basic SSL certificate to then find out it isn't good enough.

We decided to go with comodo option... Not the cheapest but working good on refferenced sites... I will let you know how it goes for us. Best

I just went for the one my host provided.

I don't care how good it is or what it does as I only wanted the minimum so as to be able to use secure canvases for facebook.

Ended up costing me about £45 to get the SSL set up and a dedicated IP.
