Lastnight i was in our office. We have the top floor and i have a key for the main front door... all good?

I stayed quite late lastnight (much later than i intended...) anyway i finished up at about 7.45pm and went downstairs to go home only to find there is a grid thing over the door stopping me opening it!!!

The office owner is the only persons number i have and hes on holiday and turns his phone off - i left him a couple of messages and by 8.30-9pm i realised i wasnt going to be getting out of there.

So i went looking for some tools and managed to find some pliers to take a grid off a window and climb out, i closed the window and put the grid back in place so it atleast looked the part - IM A FREE MAN.... or so i thought.

Got in my car, drove to the gates and put my pass up to the gate - nothing! Ive had this pass a few weeks but never had to use it - devastated face!

I had to climb an 8 ft fence to get out.

So whenever anyone says theyre staying late - i now have no sympathy as i didnt get out of my office block until 9.30pm!

Now ive got to become a bus \/\/anker (if you have seen the inbetweeners) to go and get my car.

Just thought i share my misery in the hope it gives you a laugh.

That's what you get for working I guess. Shouldn't they check the area to make sure no one is still in the building before arming the guards? I guess this could work in your favor though. Next time your boss asks you to stay late you could just explain this mess and leave.

Not staying late tonight nooooo.
They should check it yes but as we are a new company in the office i think they just assume we do 9-5? Who knows, bit of a pain but one of those things i suppose.
