Shares that are held that pay dividends whcih are automtically reinvested (and tax paid on the dividends) are these also subject to CGT on the share increase too?

If these are shares held in a general investment account and automatic reinvestment is occurring there will be a contract note for each purchase. CGT will apply when you sell.
If you sell all of the shares the calculations are relatively straight forward. If you sell part and then continue to use automatic reinvestment the rules are quite complicated so using an accountant for your tax return would be a good idea.

Ok, thanks. I was advised that if reinvested not subject to CGT on sale (which did not seem right).
