Shared Data

Are you really going to share the keywords that get you the best leads or the advertising campaign that makes the most money?
No, I do keep stating I only see this working with KPI data. Keywords on a PPC campaign are not KPI's, KPIs are non-financial management information which I know is shared across numerous industry bodies and membership organisations already.
In logistics it would things such as number of parcels shifted per weight/size band for example. Also local, nation and international boxes/pallets shifted too. This then allows the industry body to keep all their members up to date on industry trends, and results of social and political impact. It is common practice across countless sectors.

A golf buddy of mine is in your industry and he talks about data sharing in your sector.

There is some broad sharing, as you say KPI, etc. The OP is talking about sharing the age of employees, and the reason that they were off sick. No one in energy is sharing that level of data.

So what the hell is all this shice about?

You're just a trouble-maker, Nick.

I'm taking no further part in this nonsense.

Maybe read what I wrote.

People will share all kinds of data for relevant reasons. If I paid someone to manage my PPC I'd share all my keywords and how they perform with them. If I paid you to work on my server, I'd give you access to the server.

I wouldn't share my keywords or give access to my servers so that they could stick them in some database and sell it to my competitors.

I have an afternoon of meetings and this thread went way off course
Sorry

Yes. But that wasn’t what the OP was asking for. They appeared to be collecting granular data about the day to day running of a business.

But that wasn’t what the OP was asking for.
I chose to ignore the example given by the OP and my opinion based on the example of sick days is a no I don't think that will work, but in my view the question of...
Would you share data once a month anonymously to get the same overall industry stats back to help you make decisions about your own business.
If the OP business model was more focused on KPIs, and taking this question as written, then yes I do see value in the idea as I've seen it happening already in many industries. I think the OP just used a really bad example which is why I somewhat ignored it.
