We have a sweet shop and also supply other local Pubs, Farm shops, Nurseries and even a couple of Thai restaurants with our 3 tier Sweet display stand. We have at present 16 stands located within a few miles of the shop, we make the bags ourselves in house with our branding on, and want to increase this to 60 outlets.

It should be an easy sell as we provide the stands for free with the customer just paying for what they sell and taking 35% of the profits. In 2 years we have had to only remove 2 stands due to poor sales, so they go well where ever we manage to convince the customer to try one.

I go out myself to get new customers but I have limited time and I'm not a salesman, hence why I quit sales 7 years ago!. So I'm wondering weather to go down the sales agent route but I have no idea where to start or how much I would need to pay?

I can't see there would be enough money in it to pay someone to do it. If the sales person sites one per day, they are going to want a couple of hundred quid per site. How long does it take each machine to make you that back in profit (not turnover) ?

pull off a list, ring a couple of companies and send a couple of samples/photos of what you have to offer, cheaper option and probably going to be more effective as you would know all the benefits of your own product. If time is really that scarce then you could try emails :)

hope this helps

Have you considered going down the route of outsourcing to a telesales company?

This way you are handing the task to a company that specialises in this type of customer contact.
The product you describe does sound like a straightforward sell and telesales as your first point of customer contact would work well.

Feel free to send me a message to discuss how we could possibly help you.

You say the customer would get 35%...what percentage do you imagine he currently gets with the known branded sweets he/she already sells?...is this enough in your opinion to have a new sweet competing against existing sales?
