Are you bloody brilliant at Excel deck building with accounting experience in professional financial modelling in relation to SAAS businesses?

What I’m looking for is someone to help firstly put a Budget PL together and CFF to a high standard, a financial deck if you like that would support investors but moreover to help identify the capital cash flow requirements of the business.

And then help with monthly reporting to help monitor the ongoing progress AND specifically create a dashboard. ARR levels, Logo churn, LTV, CAC to help give some direction.

I don’t have a massive budget for this. I am currently having the first-year end completed so not in a position yet to start but hopefully early November once I get it back. What we need really is a part time FD, but I just don’t have the budget for it.

If you fit this profile and you are interested, please message me indicating your background and how you could support.

    Thanks, in advance.

Bear in mind that Excel skills are very much relative.

Financial forecasts created with Excel are excellent but generally do suffer from being formulae and calculation hungry. They can be time consuming to create especially if being created for a bespoke purpose. It shouldn't be confined to the profit and loss but must include the balance sheet at which point your cash flow will be determinable. The Excel spreadsheet is very much owned by its author making subsequent maintenance very much reliant upon the author.

I tackle it from the point of view of creating a budget transaction generator. This way you have transactions created in the same way and same resolution as the actuals - making comparisons so much easier. Profiles will cater for the complexities of your key metric drivers. It is re-useable for any business. But this requires a different mindset and a different set of Excel skills.

Your financial director is going to be key to understanding the business and driving it forward to make it the success you want it to be. Why would you undervalue such a resource?

    Good luck though.

I don't for one moment undervalue such a resource, quite the contrary but the focus has been on building the technology, getting clients on it, sorting credit control and ideally we need an equity capital raise. I know i need help here for sure, nobody is going to do it for free or on a promise but unless i can get a placing away my cash flow is limited, that's the issue I have hence why i said i don't have a massive budget, at the moment, i certainly cant afford a full time FD but I'm open to proposals how i can address this.
