Just a rallying call to ask people to remember to buy a poppy and show your gratitude to all the fallen soldiers and civilians for the price paid for us.

Glad to see that our NI parades went off peacefully at the weekend, there was a lot of hype about our soldiers coming home and parading in Belfast.
My own local parade (Larne) went really well, with masses of people out on the street cheering our boys home. A nice report here.
Buy a poppy folks, there are a load of guys who are no longer fit to parade who need your support.

Yes don't forget to buy a poppy guys, but how about selling them too......get a box in your office Royal British Legion anywhere....I did and felt even better this year..I have two sons serving and they have lost mates. Thank god they came home... from a proud mum

Either I am starting to shop in the wrong places or there are less volunteer poppy sellers about. Every year it seems to get harder and harder to find somewhere to buy a poppy.
I was fortunate enough to be rescued by the British Army on a couple of occasions when I was doing aid work in Kosovo, so I always look to purchase and wear a poppy with pride.

There was a lovely Soldier standing in the pissing rain on Princes Street yesterday handing out Poppies - AND a Poppy with a pin as well! Fantastic!
