Registering a limited company

I have registered limited companies in the past both directly with companies house and through a company registration agent.

I want to register a new limited company for my new idea, does it really make any difference which option I choose for registering the company?

Some company registration agents will give you a cash back if you open a business account through a given bank. Effectively you make a profit on registering your company. (The reg agent gets an affiliate payment, so they're not being father Christmas)

WRT your new idea, it doesn't matter who you register your company with. However, you will only be grabbing a company name, not registering a trademark. You would do the latter here: https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/intellectual-property-office

As above, it doesn't really make too much difference. However, you do get some additional perks by going through an agent. The cashback on a bank account above is a good example. For instance, if you opened a bank account with our Print Package then you would pay £32.99 but get £50 cashback. You will also get hard copies of all you company documents, which can be useful to have, whereas with Companies House you pay £15 and they only provide an email copy Certificate of Incorporation and Memorandum & Articles of Association.

Just reading through the comments on here, some things I didn't even know about registering a limited company.
