PSV TRANSPORT MANAGER CPC EXAM TODAY

Help ... I’m driving myself mad, just sat today’s cpc transport manager exam - passenger transport really need to speak to someone else who sat it - hopingvive not completely read the case study - 6-8 weeks to wait for official results seemed much harder than all the other past papers I’ve sat

Hi Juzza

Hope it went well, I took mine (HGV CPC) earlier in the year. Luckily I passed but the wait for the results is a nightmare. I felt that i had totally messed it up when I walked out of the exam. When my results arrived I had scored really high! I then went on to fail the multiple choice and failed. How long can you transport pigs was the only question I didn't have an answer for. Anyway went back two days later and passed. Certificates arrived a couple of weeks after that!

24 hours without taking them of the trailer but access to water (if I recall correctly) most other livestock is only a few hours and then they must have a break

I’m just panicking I read the case study wrong - hoping it said ST Have a standard international licence otherwise I’ve screwed up the first question and lost 7 easy marks.
Gonna take the multiple choice before these results come through - I passed September 17 test and March 17 but feel this one went badly - making myself feel better with ferrero rocher

You done all that work and now all you need to do is

Use the simple transport Managers dictionary

Congratulations on passing the exam!
I'm sitting the OCRS HGV exam in December. I've found the OCRS website which has loads of past papers (case studies) to help me prepare and I've got a transport managers handbook so I'm well equipped. I wonder if anyone can help me to find access to multiple choice questions? I've found one "R1" paper but I'd like more papers. Any pointers anyone? Thanks in advance!

The multiple choice questions were nothing much to worry about if you have learnt everything from the handbook in prep for the main exam you should be well equipped.

The good thing about the multiple choice is if you don't pass you don't have to wait a full 3 months to sit the paper again. I passed the exam first time around and failed the multiple choice by one mark and resat it a few days later. The multiple choice was just on a laptop not an actual paper.

The key to the main exam is the costings its normally worth 12 marks (or more) if you can nail that you are on your way to passing.

Thanks for advice. I've got almost three months until the test, so I'm going to keep reading away to try and take away some of the pressure.

The case study paper gave a cost breakdown for the ferry, tunnel, marine insurance etc. The question said take the cheapest option to get to Switzerland. Which in this case was the tunnel but you don't need marine insurance unless you use the ferry so there is bits that are in there to try and trip you up.

The costing section is half the marks for the whole exam.

I've looked at the past exams papers which give a great insight into the level of expectation. I've never heard of this scenario. Thanks for the heads up.
