Hi
We have a pregnant employee and I need to ensure we're doing everything correctly, just looking for guidance where possible, we have changed her role as she previously dealt with goods in quite a bit, she now has help in this area so she's not lifting.
The main concern is the number of sick days, considering she is a full time employee working 37.5 hours per week, in April she has worked just 10 hours, this is due to morning sickness and anxiety.
We had a meeting and proposed that she comes into work once she feels herself, start later and finish later so her pay is not affected, the meeting seemed positive but has often resulted in her turning up at 12pm and going home at 2/3pm.
This attendance in work cancels any SSP she may be entitled to and can't be paid the full day when she's working a couple of hours, working 2 hours a day probably just about covers her travel expense so she would probably be better off just claiming SSP but I know I can't tell her that.
What would you do in this situation?
Thanks
