You will be fine. Everyone needs a bathroom.
Have you actually done any research or are you just making it up as you go along?
I have a healthy marketing budget. We have a great website under construction. Will be doing leaflet drops. The.local radio station will be presenting from our showroom on opening day and we have prizes and discount on offer. What marketing are you preparing?
How much will you be investing in marketing?
What experience do you (or people you will employ) have in designing and selling high-end bathrooms, sourcing suppliers, purchasing & administration? (I presume your current team of fitters are experienced in fitting high-end bathrooms - which is completely different to fitting budget and low-end bathrooms). Expert plumbing is required.
Do you have adequate finance in place?
You cannot just rely on passing trade to kickstart your business.
I wish you luck in your venture, but run your proposals with your accountant and someone who has experience in the business you want to start.
Your head must rule your heart.
Can.i ask who gives you the right to be so rude ? Do you think I just plucked my idea out if thin air. I did my research for over a year before deciding on the location and I am very well connected here. Believe it or not - as a woman I have a brain, and know how to use it !!
Thanks billybob it's just so infuriating to get patronising responses <removed>You have to remember this forum is mostly full of people that are either in the online/e-commerce space, selling you finance or haven't actually ran any sort of business before (and dossers with nothing to do all day, me).
If you always remember that, then you'll know where these questions come from.
What does 'healthy' mean in numeric terms?I have a healthy marketing budget.
Until it's finished and tested, you will not now how 'great' it is.We have a great website under construction
The first (and probably worst) form of marketing, especially for 'high-end' products. Will be doing leaflet drops.
There is a huge difference in plumbing low-end and high-end, which you obviously know. Given you are concentrating on high-end only - do you have sufficient high-end plumbers to fit 5 bathrooms (your estimation) per week? 1 Bathroom will take between 2-4 weeks to complete from start to finish. My fitting team have over 15 years experience in low mid and hugh end bathroom fitting, tiling and plumbing.
Does £50k include all you set-up costs, fitting out, marketing budget, branding, website, accounts, legals, stationary, printing, staff, etc etc etc . . . . .?As.for finance. I have £50 k set aside to use in my first year
What happened with them and is this a similar set up in similar circumstances?I have run successful interior businesses before

Thanks. I guess good grammar must help sell more finance.
When we had an extension built. our builder fitted the parts we bought. He had his own plumber, tiler and joiners. The bathroom shop just sold us the bits, so you don't necessarily need fitters for all your sales. Similarly there'll be some people doing DIY fitting.
What does your other half do at the moment? Does he sell everything that he fits, or is he fitting bits that the customer has sourced? If it's the latter, then you've a good opportunity to work together.
Most important advice though .... CHECK THE LEASE ON THE UNIT. GET A LAWYER, IDENTIFY THE BREAK CLAUSES.
Thank you - my brother is a solicitor he has checked the lease for me. It's a 3 year lease with a break clause every year if I need - I have to give 3 months notice. When we had an extension built. our builder fitted the parts we bought.
