Hi everyone, sorry for that post, forgot to switch editor mode.

I have just started a web design business, I've been working as a designer and programmer but I really never cared about the marketing (wasn't my field), now I'm finding out that I don't know where to start... I can invest a little bit of many but not too much. I'll like to focus on the UK market but without closing any door to the international market.
Where should I start my marketing campaign or maybe there's a company that can help me with these (for not too much many)?
Any advice or tip will be grate

Thanks

Daniel Forbes

I can only point you in the direction of the company we use, they have been really good and actually support us in our own marketing.

They guide us rather than do it for us and it saves us a fortune, but when we started they did it all for us.

As far as I am aware they don't advertise, we got their name from another company, would be worth contacting them if only for a quote, they gave us loads of information and help before we even picked them. They do a lot of SEO work for other web designers.

their site is coheremarketing.co.uk ask to speak to Ryan, he is really helpful, but quite in demand.

Another source of information they pointed us to was reasearchmode.co.uk there is a lot of guides and information on that site that helped us start our marketing.

Also check out Webproworld which is an online forum, huge amounts of useful stuff.

Be very careful who you engage to do internet marketing for you... It may destroy any chance you have at ranking if you have some company just blast a lot of low quality links... happened to me one.

Personally I am now trying a slow steady approach... creating engaging useful content and trying to get good mentions from authourative sites for my content pages as well as my main homepage. So far it appears to be working.
