Aside from the obvious tools for gaining new customers like:
  1. Word of Mouth
  2. Flyers in Doors
  3. Website with Location Words
  4. Social promotions / ads in appropriate groups

Any great ideas for promoting a shop that does everything from oil changes to alignments, engine rebuilds to custom swaps?

Billboards, adwords, local radio adverts, banners on local websites, van wrapping, adverts in car magazines.

Cheers for that.

One thing we do, which is a bit like word of mouth, is to have a number of cars at track days and shows like Knock Hill. Some carry the JMA branding, but others don't (as they are customer owned).

Went to car show a couple of weeks ago and a couple of local garages had a stall with customer cars on display. They picked up a good number of new customers - including me.

Yeah, always loved performance cars. Never knew they come such unusual packages though.

BMW car converted to a pickup with a V8 swap.

Mitsubishi Colt with an EVO engine and drivetrain. 600+ horsepower in a 600kg package - an absolute beast.

All good fun - but how much horsepower is ever enough :P

Do they do anything with bikes?
Would be interested to see the machinery they've got going - if they're looking at buying any new kit let me know and I'll have an excuse to come and see what's doing.
