I know it is harsh but what is the problem of using a local Tesco Extra.
This would be the process for going to Tesco Extra.
- Drive there (5 minutes)
- Buy what I need
- Come Home
If I wanted to go to the nearest independant shopping area
- Drive there (10 - 15 minutes)
- Spend 15 minutes trying to find a parking space
- Pay for parking space
- Get hassled by charity muggers
- Buy what I need (costs more)
It is all about ease, I don't have time to spend an afternoon going to different butchers to find meat and then to a grocer to get an apple.
Why would I want to spend more, take more time and be hassled for the same thing? Yes, people might be going out of business on the high street but they are hardly giving me a reason to drive the distance, pay for parking, pay the extra on the items.
