Hi

I've done a lot of research, but am going round in circles!

I currently use Izettle to take payments in my shop. The phone app allows me to enter the customers name (which is essential to my business), the amount they need to pay, then this links to a card machine and the customer pays.

The rate is 1.75% and 2.5% when I send a payment link instead

Does anyone use an alternative supplier that can beat this rate? It might be reasonable, last year we paid about £2k in fees.

Thank you
Poppy

Most suppliers can beat that rate, but all depends on what your monthly card turnover is.

Also, if you could save over 1%+ on those charges, would you consider not recording the name on the card app, but maybe an accounting system or epos?

No, we need the name
Yes, but keeping it in an accounts system, epos etc ties the transaction, name and payment together.

Can I ask why you want it on the payment system?

prime payment solutions - are they a payment company or an agent/recommender for merchant providers?

What deal did you get?
