Pay per click

Hi everyone,

I have developed a website and have a search enquiry lets say for physiotherapists (just an example). I would prob charge 10p per click to a website. Is that a normal charge?

My question is how do you get paid from the website reffered to? I don't want to use pay pal etc.

The value of any click is dependent on several factors. That's what makes Google Adwords so complex.

To do this you would have to code in a system that tracks clicks like Google Adsense, which may be beyond the scope of your website.

Have you considered just renting out advertising space?

As bdw suggests, its a complex question, but there are some good online tools out there for developing advertising programmes.

We have also developed click tracking systems for clients websites. Can you post a link to your site, and I would be happy to take a look and give you my suggestions.

Regarding the first post - I do not want to go the advert route as I don't want to clutter the site.

Re the second postv-yup i am going to design a tracking system. I wa interested in payment . I think i will charge a set minimum amount say £20 and when the client has recieved 200 clicks they can then decide if they want to continue.

My site is not live yet as I want it fully developed so that I can make the most opportunity of footfall.

The value of clicks is very much about the text that compells people to click, so it it depends on many factors.

I network with serious internet marketers who are using "inlinks" to monetize sites - clearly - if google knew the links were in effect paid, they would stuff the site in the rankings. But these guys assure me that the footprint is invisible ( heard that before!!) -

re ppc - There are plugins that can manage the process for you, if you stick to a popular CMS.

Something else to be aware of - savvy marketers test their ads with placement targetting, then approach the owner for direct ads, bypassing googles magin . The point is - it is worth putting adsense in a place which allows such marketers to test your site, before committing to custom ads.
