One Post But TWO Permalinks-How Do I Resolve?

Good Morning Everyone

Firstly, my apologies for the length of this thread.

Could anyone help me resolve the above issue?

Yesterday, I published a post for my website entitled: -

Going to University - YOUR Likely To Need A Student Bank Account

I then went into Google Webmaster Tools and Fetched the post with a view to getting it cached/indexed quicker.

About half an hour later I noticed that I had mis-spelt the title by using the word "Your" when I should have put "You are" so I went into my Wordpress site and changed the title and the permalink to: -

Going to University? - YOU ARE Likely To Need A Student Bank Account

I then went into Google Webmaster Tools and Fetched the new "post title/permalink"

I had hoped that the incorrect post title/permalink would be removed from the web and that I would just be left with the correctly titled one. However, some 5 hours later both were still showing when I keyed a sentence of the post into the browser search box albeit the one that was showing was the incorrect one but it said below: -

In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the 1 already displayed.
If you like, you can repeat the search with the omitted results included.

and when I clicked on the "repeat the search..." it brought up the post with the correct title/permalink.

I then Fetched the incorrectly titled post/permalink in Google Webmaster Tools and it came up "Redirected". I also fetched the post with the correctly title/permalink in the hope that Google would shortly remove the incorrect one.

This morning I am still in the same unsatisfactory situation i.e. when you type in a sentence of the post both the incorrect and correctly titled post/permalink are appearing as above and am concerned that this could impact negatively on my website's rankings.

Could anyone tell me what I need to do to resolve the problem or will it just resolve itself in the next day or two but with no detriment to my rankings? i.e. do I need to say remove the post completely from my website and then wait until both the above are removed from the web and then re-publish the same post?

you need to use the remove post in WMT, but you also need to make sure the incorrect page is throwing a 404 error.
