I had SWOT for your own business in mind, although it can be interesting if used on a competitor.

Great tool to help you identify which areas or your business need nurturing/improving and which should be marketed to it's full potential. Also it should be used from your point of view and from the point of view of your customer.

Strengths
What does your business do best?
What do you have over competitors?

Weaknesses
What should your business improve on or avoid?

Opportunities
New markets
Change in technology or social trends

Threats
What are the competition up to?
Is there a new development which will directly affect your product/service?

There are many more questions which can be asked, as I'm sure you know but these are a good start!
