'NL' Company number??

I have been trying to find a company on the companies house webcheck service - they dont appear.

I did manage to find out they are registered but their company number begins with NL - what does this mean??

I'm pretty sure this means there based in Northern Ireland and are therefore registered in Northern Ireland.

They are actually based in West Sussex so it seems a bit odd to be registered over there.

Of course, you differentiate between each of the following:

- companies registered in Scotland
- companies registered in Northern Ireland
- companies registered in England & Wales

It may just be the case they're registered in NIre but trade from West Sussex, without more info like the company name I couldn't tell for sure.

My Company is registered in Northern Ireland, NI 61689. So, if it is Northern Ireland (mistaking the I for an L) then it seems to have too many digits, surely... Only my opinion.

NL is Limited partnership in Northern Ireland. All parts of the UK show on companies house just that they separate NI, Scotland and England & Wales.

As its a limited partnership in NI do they not have to provide the same accounts etc as a Ltd. company in England?

Of course they do, it is an easy extrapalation. Their Registered Company number is 04489336 and this will bring up their results on the Main CH Webcheck service.

Woops I clicked on the company below. In that case I cannot find any registration of a modip publications. It may well be that this is a sole trader (Claire Johnson) rather than a limited company.
