I've just launched a new website for myself and I'm trying to get as big a cross-section of feedback as I can to apply to ver 1.1 in a couple of months.

Perhaps I am being dumb! - but I do not really understand what this is meaning on your site.

It's your business.
You know about lawnmowers.
Or chiropody. Or IR35.

It so lost me - I was rather put off reading further.:|

Hi,

I agree with the previous poster. The first part of your "tagline" if that's what you want to call it is rather random. I know that was perhaps the point you want to get across - i.e. whatever your business- but you need to be more hard hitting. It would even be better just to be more generic and say "Whatever your business..." and then at the bottom give some examples of some of the companies you have worked for. If you have done them proud they will probably be okay with you putting their logo on there as well and a link - host beneficiary relationship.

In my opinion you need to put the bottom half of your home page at the top (as this is more colourful) and your tagline should be smaller. Your tagline shouldn't be everything you are, it should support. Like a scaffolding supporting a building - it's not the building itself. (I would apply this to every section).

I think you also need to show what you can do more. How is the customer going to benefit? Why would they come to you and not anyone else?
