Hi my name is Jon and I'm working with a growing company that I believe is going to revolutionize online communication and collaboration. I've always loved the fact that I can get on my computer and talk to someone halfway around the world. I'm what some may call a computer junkie. Meaning I really on my computer to do most of my work for me, but what the heck are they for anyway.

Well, about my company. It's called Netspan.net. We develop web conferencing systems for any size business. I know what you're saying, why jump on that bandwagon when there are so many companies that provide that service already. Well, I'll tell ya. This is the cool part. We can provide any service that every other communication company provides, but we don't have any software or downloads. It's pretty cool, instead of having to go out to a store and buy software, or buy and download the software, keep it updated, get it registered, all you need is a username and password. We handle all the updates, configuring, and everything else in house.

Oh, another cool thing is that it works on any platform, whether it's Windows, Mac, Linux, etc. and also works on any browser, even Firefox. I remember when I first saw this system after design and it simply blew my mind.

The one thing that I extremely loved about this, is that I was able to send a video mail to my best friend overseas in the Navy. So, instead of just seeing a bunch of text, he saw my face and heard my voice. I just thought that was great.

Anyway, I just wanted to share how excited I am about our company and our services. Thanks for reading!

Hi Jon,

Welcome to the forums. You seem to have lots of enthusiasm for your product so I hope all goes well with your business,

Thanks guys. It's definitely helpful with a corporate environment, especially if you have alot of conference calls, or representatives in remote locations. We also just added a seminar system to broadcast training sessions, projects, or for online collaboration.

But, like I said, it' great just to use with family and friends too.

Very true about the firewall issues. That's another edge we have on the competition.

So my voice & face is digitised into tiny little packets, bypasses the firewall vpn and crosses the big bad world of t'Internet in an unencrypted format as I discuss my super new products that will revolutionise the market?

Sorry, must stop being cynical .... welcome to the forum it's just that security is my pet subject (even if it's not my speciality) and anyway, I am sure that you woudl welcome candid feedback on the pitch

What would the fun be if you can't be cynical or sarcastic at times.

Anyhow, it is encrypted and extremely secure because it's built in flash. If you want, go to root.netspan.hub. This is our cafe model. Just enter your name, don't need a password. Get a software that can flash off a site. Then rip our code and load it. There will be nothing there! Check it out. We take pride in the security we can give to clients.

Check it out!

Hi Jonathon,

Welcome to the forum. I use video conferencing et al a lot more than I ever thought I would. Nature of my employer I guess.

Interesting service you have there ... or at least I think so, actually, it was hard to tell. The link to dowload/view the brochure did not work for me and I needed to get a password to get at the FAQ or try it out. This put me off. I looked around for some feel for the pricing models but could not find this anywhere.

Hi Jonathon,
YOu are obviously very enthusiastic about the product, and that comes across in a very nice way. It makes me want to like your product, which I do actually :)

Welcome to these forums and I hope you make some great contacts here and join the great community.

Sorry about the website. I feel the same way about it. My designer knows all things that are wrong. God knows why he has put a password on the Manual and FAQ. The brochures however are still being worked on. But they will be out soon. If you want to take a look at the manual and FAQ, the username is "instant", pw is "access".

The manual is awesome. And you can get a good feel for how the system looks and works, so check it out.

As for the pricing, we removed the link to the pricing are because it looked like a early 90's K-Mart webpage. Anyway, the pricing is definitely where we set ourselves apart from the industry. Most companies a huge set up fee, and a pay per minute pricing model. Ours, however, there is no setup fee and we only charge a monthly fee of $49. And that covers everything we have to offer and it's unlimited usage. So use it 24/7 for a straight month and there's no extra charges. Also, all the audio is caried over the internet, so there's no need to have an extra phone line open for audio.

Also, if anyone wants a demo just let me know and I'll set up a demo account and get you hooked up.

Welcome to the forums Jonathon,

It was the mention of Yorkshire pudding that brought me to this thread, but I also had a look around your site and it does look very interesting. Something I might use myself in the future :)

Anyway, I'll hand this thread back to the pudding people :D

btw, did you know that if you enter netspan.net into firefox without the www. in front it sends people to a webmail login ?

You might be losing a few customers that way !!

Yeah, we know about this problem. The Webmail is our mail server. And thank you very much for reminding me of that, because it's something that needs to be rectified.

Hi,

Yorkshire Puds!

4oz plain flour
4 eggs
half pint milk
pinch salt

Wizz all together with elec mixer. leave in fridge for 30 mins.

Gas mark 7, about 30-45 mins, top shelf.

Put metal roasting tin in oven with a bit of fat (oil or lard), when hot and smoking pour mixture into tin. Do not open oven for at least 20 mins or they will go flat as farts! Bake until firm. serve with thick onion gravy.

And Enjoy! :D
