Need Wordpress help re updating my site

For various reasons I again need to find someone to update my website and haven't the faintest idea how to find someone reliable and cost-effective these days.

Could this forum please help me?

Normally there is option to update WP version on site from web hosting control panel

I don't want to do it myself and am looking for someone more competent
PS Am having troubling updating my profile page as I cannot seem to pick and choose so the website show on my profile page is the wrong one. It is actually my name now - Euphrosene Labon. (I guess I am not allowed to link it here.)

when you say update, do you mean update wordpress and plugins etc, or do you mean update the website (ie the design and function of it etc?)

Update the plugins, James. I don't really want to change too much though I gather the templates are already 'old'. I have been getting security emails re some legacy scripts which I gather are not serious but if the plugins are not updated then my website could be suspended. Or something like that.

There are many thousands of WordPress web developers capable of helping you, of course I feel for you if you have to try and pick one at random. Depending on how custom your site is and how old it is, it isn't normally a difficult job, just make sure who you pick is a sensible sort of person that understands the basics like backing up your site before making any changes.
