Move to Windows 11?

I cant find any comment on UKBF about this. Should I be moving from 10 to11? Too risky? Benefits?

I have Windows 11, for no other reason than it was on the new PC I bought the other day.

I have not, as yet, had any issues with it. I can see no reason to upgrade though, if your current machine is running 10

Unless you need to prove support for drivers, apps or hardware, I wouldn't bother just yet.

My desktop passes the Windows 11 test but unfortunately my laptop doesn't and I don't really want to run two different operating systems so I'll pass for the moment

TPM is a hardware chip inside your computer. Usually they are not upgradable but sometimes you might be able to buy an upgrade and replace the chip. It all depends on the computer you have. In all likelyhood it is unlikely you will be able to upgrade it. If you have TPM 1.2 you may also be missing a compatible CPU that Windows 11 requires too.

For those considering ugprading, if your computer qualifies for the upgrade you will automatically see the upgrade appear as a windows update. Not everyone will get it at once though. The updates are being phased in over the next 9 months.

So far I haven't had any programs not work with Windows 11, everything I reinstalled is working as expected. There are a couple of minor irritations that are happening but I'm sure they'll be ironed out in future windows updates.

We have forced Windows 11 on computers that are not approved for it and we have had many more issues on those that are approved. So I'd recommend waiting for it to appear in your Windows Update rather than trying to force it on your computer manually.

I would wait a little bit more. As far as I can see it still have some issues with security and its not stable. Latest version of 10 are now good enough to work with. Wait a little bit more, till there will be some stable versions of 11
