Have you ever photographed an eclipse of the moon? We took some years ago, unfortunately the PC that I had them on was dead and buried a long time ago... We had an absolute cracker were there was lighting which appeared to go across the eclipse itself... yet we were almost certain it was a pretty clear night at the time.

ps, i should mention, Venus is not out of focus, just the seeing was not good (if you can imagine hot air mixing with cool like looking over a heater, thats the effect your seeing here)
