What if you already have a product and a website? We know very well that its always good to find more ways to promote a business. Any other marketing ideas that can be powerful to improve a business popularity and be able to attract more consumers?

Now get the word out there to your customers by highly targeted ads (social + google remarketing = winning formula). Then take the leads off social and massage them through an email funnel to become sales.

Simples!

Find complimentary businesses that already service your ideal customers and offer a profit share on all sales. Provide them with the sales literature or scripts.

Find competing businesses and ask them to refer anyone they haven't manged to sell to in return for a commission.

Try launching a direct mail campaign and create different approaches, and keep changing and testing your mailings to measure impact. Make sure you include a visible and inviting call to action on every direct mail piece.

everything depends on your industry. You go in some kind of offline advertising. Like meetings or exhibitions of your products or services, etc

The difference between a successful and failed marketing campaign is whether the target group is reached or not. As you already have a website and products, you know who your customers are. If your customers are mostly elderly people for example, it will be better to reach them by offline advertising such as direct mail. If your customers are young people, you will be more successful if you put time and effort to reach them online and on social media platforms. In the end it's all about playing your cards right, so you get as many sales as possible.

A marketing idea that I would recommend you is to give customers a discount on their first purchase. If you deliver in time and provide good service, you will get return customers.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I am getting a lot of input on maximizing the use of social media. But how about PPC campaign management? Will this be of equal benefit as social media if I were to consider it?

I think Google Adwords is perfect. When people search for your products and services on Google, you will be on the top of the search results if you use Adwords.

PPC should be more effective, and it will cost more. If you are new to it start very small and work your way up! Best of luck!

You can use your website to write relevant content. You can also use it to build an email database.

With a good email database, you can start a good email marketing campaign. Make a newsletter. Provide value.

With a product and a website, you can also maximize social media. It's a good venue to advertise and grow your customer base.

I think that a good idea is to build a email database. I don't recommend that you buy one as you will mostly pay for nothing. The databases that people buy include emails that are not in use. Also, if people have not opted-in, it's a risk that your emails will be flagged as "junk mail". This is negative because it will lead that more and more of your emails will end up in people's "junk mail folder" instead of the "inbox". To build your own database you can add an email opt-in form on your website. People fill in information about their email in exchange for a newsletter or discount.

I hope that this discussion can be active and people add their own inputs. It's interesting to see the different perspectives as it will give you a chance to make an informed decision about what marketing idea is best.

Best of luck!
