We are about to launch a new product - A home decor item (a floral wreath with iron hoop)
The item is manufactured in china
For this type of product is it a legal / customs requirement to include "made in China" on the product label?

For our previous business, the products we produced (supplements) did not have this requirement, hence my question

Thanks in advance!

This has come up a few times on the forum you may find the answer using the search section, maybe have a look here too:

Why wouldn't you want to declare the country of origin? As someone who avoids products made in China/the far east, both personally, and for my business, I'd want to know where something was made.

I have a few products where there IS no product label for space reasons - a name and model and no space for anything else - it's on the box and the paperwork supplied, but it's just impractical to add more writing.

No need to label the product, because you area freight forwarder? I don't understand your post - he doesn't need shipping he needs UK legal information?

There is no legal requirement to state the COO on the product or the packaging, but any statement about the origin you chose to put must be truthful. (In otherwords its illeagal to put 'made in britain' for instance in this case).
