Is shopping online safe?

As the demand and usage for online shopping increases, so does the demand, products and services of online security companies. Take Paypal as an example, many people dont realise this but they are actually an online security company - because if their business wasnt security then they wouldnt be the size that they are. People shop with Paypal because it's safe.

Really good example, I used paypal all the time when I made payment to an online service.

They dont talk in-depth about their system, only the lengths they went to to prevent over companies knowing what they were doing in order to maintain such a strong USP and competitive advantage. Very interesting book, give it a shot

It's as safe as shopping in real life. The crime rate is roughly the same, as far as I can tell. You're as likely to be scammed online as you are offline.

I think its always a worry for people when shopping online whether or not the website can be trusted i always worry that if i find something for a good price is it because its fake and am i going to get ripped off. you have to make sure that on any website or comparison sites that they are using SSL certificates while order processing and also check for the little padlock..and if it seems to good to be true its because it usually is...

Dont let it stop you shopping and comparing prices though just be savvy about your credit card details...

I have done shopping online and as far as I have experienced and known from the experiences of my friends, shopping online is safe from trusted sites. There are many sites now offering items for sale but I always opt for trusted sites even if it would cost me $20 extra.

I always order from trust sites and I have not had a problem yet. Read reviews and user feedback and it should give you a good idea of whether or not the site is a trusted source.

Nothing is perfect, no matter sales on line or in real the life. It depends on which kind of company you choose? If it is a high reputation company, it is safe.

There are two pros and different problems
Benefits: save time searching for products
Cons: the customer will be disadvantaged if the object encountered scams take advantage of brand names to make money, problems in dealing with the risks of payment.
There should be 3rd party safety certification of the percentage of transactions online.

In this fast moving age when dealings are based on online system so it`s not strange to send money online. System has been generated so well that chances of risk are very low. So there is no harm in my point of view to send or receive online money transfer.
