Is Iphone 4S still worth buying?

I'm looking for a new business phone, and iPhone 4S is still within my price range - but I could get a newer Android or a Windows phone in this range. Is an older 4S still worth getting? I need to check e-mails, be able to open all sorts of docs (that's why I appreciated windows phone), I also want good multimedia capabilities.

If you've identified with Apple products it'd make sense to go with an iPhone. An Apple phone has more features to take advantage of in combination with an iMac or MacBook Pro.

I have the iPhone 4s and its getting painfully slow.
I also read somewhere that applied Apple Updates are causing this. I restored it a short time ago (few months) and it was flying, now it seems to take forever to load.

If you just want it for business purposes, i find mine VERY useful for this, but make sure you carry a spare battery as the battery life on these is extremely poor indeed.

I wouldn't recommend you to go for iPhone if you have a tight budget: you will need to spend extra money from time to time as iPhone chargers are constantly breaking, and original ones cost quite a lot. It is a constant headache, so I think it is better to go for an Android or a Windows phone.

If you consider getting an iPhone to make an impression to your business partners/clients apart from looking for its functionality, iPhone 4/4S isn't the best way to do it.

Plus as it was mentioned above, it's most likely gonna be slow because of iOS updates. I've got the very first iPad in 2010, and I can't use it anymore: there is no system update available anymore, and all the apps simply don't work. Moreover, it became slow as hell.

I've never had an iphone charger break myself, and even so there are tons of generic ones available online for a few pounds.

I'd imagine a 4s is very cheap these days. Heck, my 5s only costs me £20 a month on contract so what is your budget? They have just launched the 7 so you should be able to get a good deal.

Oh God, please teach me how you managed not to break it even once? I constantly hear bad feedback about iPhone chargers from people I know + I broke myself more than 5 for sure.

About the generic ones, I've heard that it's not so good to use them. However, I used the Chinese ones previously, and they got broken as well

If you just need the phone for basic business purpose then why do you need an apple? They are well designed, slick phones with a great ecosystem but priced as such.

The best business phone I ever had was actually an old blackberry. real keyboard, 3 day battery life, and super in terms of security. That was before the time of needing to access documents remotely and now blackberry is dead.

I have a windows phone for business, the lumia 650 which I got for 90 quid. It's a bit slow. No selection of 'fun' apps..poor camera. sucks as a personal phone but for business has the following which is nice:

• MS office for free.. works ok.
• Windows pane system works well if you are a busy professional.. works well for monitoring emails/messages without entering into each app. Also you can pin different documents to the desktop for direct access.
• battery life is ok..not amazing but good.
• Phone is well built - looks business like/professional.
• main business apps there.

If you absolutely need a cheap but VIABLE apple get the SE which is basically the body of the 5s with processor/memory of 6. That will work well for couple of years.

In my opinion, you should get an iPhone 5 instead because of the better features. At least I have used the 2 phones before and I like the 5 better...

But they don't need any extra features, all they want to do is check email, open docs and do multimedia stuff. An iPhone 4 does all that and is cheap as chips.

I'm still using my iPhone 4s and it's still doing well. But, if you do have enough budget, I suggest you buy the latest model. It will depend also on your purpose and needs in terms of phones.

My experience with iphone 4 is that the battery drains pretty fast. Considering it will be your business phone, I don't think it is a good idea. It sucks when your call gets cut because you are out of battery.

In my opinion, the iPhone 4S may seem dated. However, if you keep it clutter-free and use it for email and browsing, the hardware can keep up to speed with most high-spec phones.

Yes I think if you want to buy a today's mid range phone. Last years flagship phone are better than today's mid range. They are quite same in price. New mid range phone may be update with speed but lack of screen resolution, build quality, pixel density, and other options.

not sure but i bought iphone 5s and having no actual back button REALLY sucks. also compared to other phones ive had it is so rigid and rough edged. other phones feel more comfortable to hold.

in terms of storafe after just 2 months i ran out of space and it suck i cant use sd card

I have never laid my hands on an iPhone before. Not one single model. Never ever tried one in one of those stores I regularly pass by on my way to work. I'm more inclined to sticking with HTC phones. I also had a long term relationship with my Blackberry phone. It was the first phone I bought when I started my firm.

I will not recommend you to go for 4S because it has a very small screen and extremely obsolete hardware. you should go for Galaxy series and S7 is the best one for you.
