Hi,

Is anyone using Microsoft invoices within there Office 365? See here: https://www.screencast.com/t/Wd0lGT0S8

I am not VAT registered and so I do not need VAT mentioned on my invoices at all. And yet they are on Microsoft Invoicing.

Does anyone know if these labels can be removed? See here: https://www.screencast.com/t/vUwlPmkbBsc

I am pulling my hair out as MS Support haven't a clue. And keep telling me the government force MS to charge VAT there is nothing they can do about it!?!?

They just don't seem to understand I am asking about one of their products, not how MS invoice people :)

@Scalloway - thanks but no unfortunately. As I don't need VAT calculation or VAT on my invoices. I am not VAT registered.

@ServWise - I vaguely remember that. I think in this situation they have just added something to Office 365 and put not thought into it. Which is what Microsoft do on occasions!

Like tying up OneDrive with SharePoint which limits file names/structure and so leaving OneDrive totally useless to someone who saves a lot of files with unlimited number of characters and variations. !!

Oh and support finally got what product I was talking about, and no I cannot change anything!!

Which really does smack of a company not actually thinking about what might be a good system.

Like a lot of people I may not need an accounting system, just a simple invoicing system. Never mind. :)

The small business offerings in O365 are actually pretty cool. But, you have to take the default templates that are offered. This means that you can't remove the VAT/Tax columns, you have to configure the setting to default to zero for VAT/Tax.

More annoying than that is the fact that Invoicing and Customer Manager are only available for the Business Premium plan. Even the larger and more expensive plans do not include it.

This may be down to the fact that MS would prefer larger organisations to pay more and use Dynamics.

@ffox Just another bag of poo from Microsoft really!!

I can't use VAT0 as I am not VAT Registered, and VAT0 is a rate of Tax!

@MathSpire - I agree, shame really as I don't need an accounting package, I certainly don't need to be paying £X per month.

So when I saw the MS Invoicing, I thought that could be a neat solution, export the data to Excel where I have an ETB and I have got my accounts done :)

Never mind.
