Invoice2Go for iPad and also Big Contacts brilliant

Just thought I'd let people know that this is a great app. I've been looking for an app that will form quotes/estimates quickly for nearly a year. I spend a lot of my time typing the same thing many times and finally I've found an app that works great. I've downloaded every app for making quotes and they were all appalling but this one is great.

You can set products, prices, terms, shipping, tax.....etc and loads more. It's fully customisable so my quotes look exactly the same as they did in Word. It then turns it into a PDF and puts it in an email. You can also tell the app what txt you want in your email. I've gone from 10 mins to type up a quote to around 30 seconds.

I've then set up a permanent BCC which sends a duplicate of the email to my dropbox for my CRM software and the email and PDF gets filed against the relevant customer. I email the quotes off whilst sat in the customers driveway.

I also use Big Contacts for my CRM and I can't recommend them enough. Brilliant company and brilliant software with great back up and it's extremely easy to use. No tutorials or instruction books required to use it.

Finally I've ditched the laptop, computer, pen and paper. All I need is my iPad and my phone and I'm sorted for the day.

We have been using Invoice2Go for a while now. The iPad, iPhone and desktop versions and are currently on Version 5.

It seemed really good at the start, all bells and whistles. Then along came the upgrades from version 4.0 and it's a disaster.

They now have a thing called two way syncing and for that you are charged additional money for each app you use. About £17.00 just for each one. No mention of this when you "check for updates" they just scam you right in.

As we did not take this option and want to keep the one way syncing it is a disaster. Really poor support. Five emails remain unanswered despite receiving confirmation from their auto response.

DO NOT use this invoice2go as it is now plagued with issues.

We find we are actively looking for a totally different solution. As a moblie business we need something that will be seamless. Invoice2go is not it.

Today we tried, again, to sync all the paid and unpaid invoices to the desktop on one way sync from the iPad that used to work. It managed to sync only 15% of them.

Nothing in the help files, poor online support and a nightmare all around.

Sorry to trash what you thought was a good app but is really is junk.

Stay away, please stay away.

We have sent invoice2go a link to this post as we feel they need to now that word is now getting out that they are rubbish.

In all honesty I was only using the iPad version of Invoice2go when i created this thread and it was great but I since paid for the desktop version and sync2go. I also found it to be an absolute disaster! I also found customer service to be non existent! I asked for a refund and just got a reply telling my instructions were in the FAQ's. Since sent around 5 emails and never had a reply!

It's a real shame as the software for the IPad and iPhone is brilliant but the rest of it and how it all works together is dreadful. I don't know how a software company providing services for other companies can think they can charge what they charge and offer zero customer feedback. They don't even have a number you can phone.

I DEFINATELY RETRACT MY RECOMMENDATION FOR INVOICE2GO.

Big Contacts is excellent though. I've had a few glitches and they've sorted it exceptionally fast. Once I created a support ticket, they couldn't sort it ASAP and needed more info, by lunch I'd had a conference call with the main software programmers in the USA and it was sorted!

To be honest i still use invoice2go on my ipad and it works flawlessly as a stand alone system and you can setup a BCC to your Big Contacts mailbox which then matches up all of your emails sent and received with the correct customers contact in Big Contacts.

Invoice2go goes badly wrong when you start using it with the desktop version and syncing it together. Also when you need customer support.
