Hi @ELLABISSON

To churn out the old cliche, investors invest in businesses and people, not in ideas.

On the limited information available, you would appear to have some valuable skills as an employee, but your post doesn't tell us about your business acumen or your business plan - and those are the things that matter to investors!

Hi Mark.

Would you say it is possible to attract investment for a project without that project having earned any money?

In other words, if a project has a convincing business plan, along with at least one person who you deem to have the drive, talent, etc. to make the project profitable, then would that be enough to attract investment?

I hope I've asked my question clearly enough. If not, then please let me know. :)

You it is possible (the term is 'pre revenue')

I would add the term 'researched" to the business plan

Anything medical is heavily regulated and needs highly respected spokespeople in the medical profession to give authority to any findings.
Doesn't sound like a scam to me, you can look up Ella Bisson on LinkedIn.

Scam is a word that's freely thrown around; usually incorrectly.

In reality it's unlikely to be a scam - but it's fairly unimportant since what is currently missing is any kind of researched business proposition.

Even the most cursory DD will reveal things like licences and personal credentials.

I have a business plan and looking for same business partner. I know the Laboratory has to be accredited by the UK Accreditation System, this is not a big problem. The most important to me to find a business partner (partners) who is really wants a stable and big profit.

Then you need to focus on putting together a strong, researched investor - friendly proposition.

I want to start my business in the field of Clinical Diagnostic Research based on my long practice for 22 years, my big knowledge and ambitions. I know exactly, that this business is very profitable but needs the investment about £100000.
I know how to organize this business and what it takes.
Unfortunately, I do not have the means to run a business, so I am looking for an investor and business partner who will help me in this matter and could multiply the investment many times over.
I have to build a client base and contract with private general practitioners in London, but in general this market will always be in demand, as the demand for blood tests is very high, especially when they are performed on a tight schedule.
If anyone is interested in this project, please contact me at this number: << mobile number edited out for safety reasons ^Ozzy >>

Sadly, what you do not know is how to cost and how to approach investors. I would suggest that setting up any kind of medical laboratory in the London area will cost a goodly multiple of that sum - more like £1m plus. Contrast and compare with the cost of setting up a humble GP practice or a dentistry practice.

Most investors will need a business plan and a proper and professionally laid out business plan. I suggest reading 'Starting a Business for Dummies' by Colin Barrow. It's a bit dry and basic but will point you in the right direction. My first port-of-call would be other medical professionals willing to give this idea a punt. Most of us Muggles have little idea of how the medical markets really work, so a targeted pitch within the medical community would be more successful. But you will still need a proper plan made available by invitation (PDF) before anyone will touch it!

This is NOT a GP practise, I know how much would be cost any analyser, overedge £17,000.
The Byre, you are don have any knowledge about this, I have. You are wrong, I have calculated everything.
Even dental practice costs about £350 000. The Laboratory needs less.

Staff wages? Building rental deposits and advances? Marketing? Adapting the premises? Back-up equipment? Computers? Telephones? Reserve funds for future developments and emergencies? And then there will be other medical compliance costs - I advised a medical wholesale company in Germany and they had all kinds of special compliance issues to deal with that cost large sums.
Am I supposed to post my entire plan on this forum?
No of course not, but you should have a more realistic view of the high costs of setting up a bricks-n-mortar business.

I was actually trying to be helpful and a less snippy attitude might help you get to where you want to go.
