Intrusive Ads

The google ads which are popping up all over the forum are unfortunately dominating the user experience and detracting from it.

I'd be happy to make a donation to your running expenses if it means the ads can be removed. So if an ad produces 1p I'd be happy to donate 2p just so that I don't need to spend my time closing the ads in order to see the forum postings.
