I didn't come to you (in fact i don't know you although you remind me of Felix Dennis)...

£300 quid an hr partner. £200 senior or specialist. £150 Junior.

No wondor they gripe at £75 quid an hour legal aid or that is what it used to be. These figures are not of course what the typical solicitor earns. That is usually under £50K a year.

Not a fortune after tax if you live in London.

Mind you there is always the dream of becoming another Cherrie or Tony Blair and earning over $50,000 USD for an half hour after dinner speech.

BTW Brian. One would have expected a solicitor and expecially one from the magic circle to be a little bit more observant when reading a document or indeed forum post.

To ask what our Sir Earl does for a living the is not exactly what you would you call keeping your eye on the ball - is it. I mean it's in his signiture for gawns sake.

I think the rates you're quoting are may be a little out of date - when I was at A&O even the paralegal rates were... well a lot! :)

Anyway, even "on the clock" we're a lot cheaper than this - as I said in fact! But the majority of the work we do is at an agreed "fixed cost". (And nobody anywhere offers you our 110% guarantee!)

I did notice (just a little bit) SirEarl's disdain for lawyers and his "car wrapping" services - which I assumed were affliate links to begin with, hence my question - but we've become fast friends since then! :) (Haven't we Earl?)

You're so right about SEO GURUs - they all, each and every one, know what's best and it is always NOT what "the other guy has said"...

I'm no expert on it for sure but I am looking and learning... :D

I just try to "play nice" - unless hired to be nasty! :)

I always reckon its as easy to be friendly - and it does suit my personality better as you say. I once left a really sweet number in a great firm because I was being forced to do nothing but construction litigation - a brilliant money/bonus earner since it is always all on the clock at top whack but Jaysus you have to be a miserable, cantankerous fecker to do it for long (let alone enjoy it).

Anyway, I'm sure Earl is a nice guy (deep down)! :D

Thanks for the welcome to the forum - I really appreciate it. I'm enjoying it in here too - although I can see why you guys have acquired the "I have no life outside UKBF" status. It's kinda addictive, isn't it?

I've noticed several disputes in the legal forum arising out of the failure of new businesses to equip themselves with a Partnership Agreement or Shareholders Agreement...

As this intro forum is about new members I figured some will be new businesses (and even if you're not you should think about the above)!

Can't stress how important doing this is to not having stress further down the line - call it stitch in time saving nine hundred and ninety nine!! :)

Hmmm... this is slightly embarrasing...:rolleyes:

Apparently some people have been having trouble with the info@ email address (or we have been having trouble at our end)...

First of all apologies - we're looking into why this might be so. Obviously it's rubbish to have a problem like this - so if you're someone who has sent something to info@ but not had a response please email us again at [email protected] - this will most certainly work.

hey, thanks for the attempt. Figured out it was an issue with the htaaccess.
One little thing I was suprised by on this forum was the lack of help. had someone reply.. crotch down? hmm
Even if the html,php coding section wasn't the most ideal spot, I had assumed atleast one person might know what the problem was.
It's ok though, the people at Wjunction were all over it in the manner of minutes.
