Insurance for Security company

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me where i shoudl go for insurance for a security company?

We only have three contracts for now and that is a turnover of £220,000.

We sometimes do Event Security.

They do a self employed consultant package for just over £1,600.00 - inc employers liability, public and professional indemnity.

They are very good and will be able to help you for sure.

Majority of policies are written by QBE (suttons specialist risk), NIG (Darwin Clayton) or Camberford Law (not sure who they use). A few companies have tried to enter the market but not particularly successfully. The polices are pretty similar, it just comes down to who is being the most aggressive with their pricing. As you do events you'll need additional cover above the norm.
