Can anyone recommend a broker I can speak to re above?

Tried some of the online quotes and not getting very far, questions re how much oil we will have in a fryer and whether we will be having the fryer serviced every 6 months are creating problems.

Opening Monday, maybe.

Thanks

SSteve

Well that was a mistake, I thought I just needed to ring round get a few quotes and pick one.

It seems that very few companies want to insure cafes, none of the big companies do it seems leaving the lower end of the market.

Went to local broker, after 20 minutes of tit tutting and raised eyebrows at the answers to the questions I left.

Most insurers will ask aditional questions if you are using a deep fat fryer or frying range at a cafe. Typically they would expect you to be cleaning any filters/traps weekly with a full professional clean of the extraction system once or twice a year.

Some generic advice:
Most of the 'quality' insurers are looking for a decent level of risk management and housekeeping at the business premises. So, if you can show to insurers that you are a well managed business then you will attract more competitive rates.

If you would like any futher advice feel free to message me.
