Hi Martyn,

Can someone give me stats on why the 0800 numbers are so good , say when compared to a standard landline number or 0870?

I was told way back that many people call because the call is free and that not only do you get time wasters costing you money via the call charges, you lose your own valuable time talking to them.

Can you offer 0800 outside of the UK, in Belgium for example ?

Regards

Paul

Jesus - Give the guy a break. I understand it does all seem a little too good to be true but if you're interested why not give him a call to discuss.

Hi,

Well ,my first post on this forum and that was a nice introduction wasn't it !

I am asking a polite question to someone who is apparently marketing 0800 numbers and who should be able to tell me why I should take one when compared to alternatives. That is all.

If your mail is typical of the sort of reply I should expect from long standing members, then I won't stay around here long !

Have a nice day.

you dont pay for the calls with our numbers, there is a minute package that comes as standard with them. they cover the cost of the calls. it is a great marketing tool because yes your customers arent paying for the calls and it makes you look well established as well as stand out from your competitors. if they didnt work then no other companies would use them. feel free to call me to discuss it more and a quotation.

If you're talking to me then I'm sorry if my message came across as 'brash' but after 3 pages of quite honestly you guys giving this chap a really hard time I felt I should say something.

As I say, you guys seem to have been really quite aggressive and negative towards someone that is trying to help you.

lol.....nice try but no! I'm B2B so it's not worth pursuing.

Anyway, personally I prefer to ring Geographical numbers anyway, because I can ring them from my mobile and they are included in my free mins. 0800 and alike aren't.
