Hi all :D

Has any one seen those advertising LCD displays in Post offices shops etc.?
I am thinking of installing something like that in our Hairdressing Salon
showing special offers treatments etc. Surely all I would need is a PC and large LCD monitor - but what software is best to use to produce a repating playback of Text and Video material. I have access to Video editing software and good quality Digital camcorders and can produce the material. Is power point OK for this or is there other software?
Has any body here done this - do you think it is worthwhile?

Thanks Mark.

I would prefer to do this myself as i do have experience in producing video and the like. I thought it would run on a PC based system that i can upload images and video inserts myself - much cheaper!!

Cheers

Dave,

I'm pretty sure you can have the software running on your pc and 'send' it to the screens.

I'd be interested in how you go about it pc wise if you go this way, as i was thinking of a similar thing for kitchen showrooms.

But god luck anyway!

Cheers,

Mark

If you are able to produce the footage, then all you need is a pc or laptop connected to the LCD - most LCD's/Plasmas have a svga input.
I know someone who could install it for you but I'm not sure on the cost because you are a few miles away and he would need to cover travelling costs etc - this is someone who has been in the AV trade for years and sets up conferences etc, not just some bloke with a drill! PM me if you need more info and I'll pass on more details.
