Improving the forum experience

This is a minor annoyance but one thing that bugs me is that when I click on a forum section such as, "Start up space", there's a large blank space before the actual posts. In fact, I always have to scroll down as the posts don't start until below the fold.

Is anyone else seeing this or is it just me?

Sounds like you have an ad blocker enabled.

Just on the point of ads - I always use my iphone to connect and these pop up ads pop up multiple times such that it makes it difficult to interact with the forum. I also think that the posting will not how up on Google as they used to do because Google does not like ads.

They are Google ads (Google AdSense), I'd like to think they don't dislike their own service

On my 'phone I see no pop-ups but do get white space at the top of forums.

On my desktop I see no popups but do see ads at the top of forum pages. I can live with this as the screen real estate is much larger and the ad is insignificant.

Whether you see an ad or white space depends on how the ad is served and which browser/extensions you are running.

It's your phone/browser/extensions. You have something installed that is hijacking the forum.
