I am looking for someone to build me a website but I need to be able to import all my 1800 listings from ebay. Does anybody know of someone that can help me? I don't want to pay hundreds of pounds as I could use EKM powershops or Freestart for £19.99 a month or £149 a year but the site would never be mine & I don't like the idea of having to pay freestart upfront for a whole year with no money back guarantee. EKM support is costly to phone on 0871 & they charge extra for SEO & emails. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Jon

You don't want to pay hundreds but want a custom site? EKM is £20 a month = £240 a year for a basic template site they own. For someone to create you an ecommerce site with eBay functionality, you're looking at £1k+ depending on other features and functionality. Then add on monthly costs including hosting, payment gateways and on going seo.

Well I don't mind paying £20 a month for a rented site but I only know of EKM & Freestart who can import from ebay. Do you know of any other companies that have this capability?

NO

Look at tiger commerce-its customisable-you can upload design you create using other design software if you want.

Easy integration with ebay and all the payment providers can download csv fields into excel for analysis can download feeds for google base.

Tigercommerce is 10p a minute for support. That's the same as EKM & I have spent £60 in 7 weeks phoning them & waiting in a queue. Sorry but support should not be 10p a minute. It's a hidden cost. I phoned tiger & they said they would call me back in a few minutes but it's been half an hour & nobody has called. Not that impressed so far & I doubt there is a freephone number for support. They probably charge extra for SEO after a few months. I'm back to square one. Thanks very much for your suggestion though.

What is the question you have with tiger - I can probably tell you for free in about five minutes.

Their support is carp-a few people have said that but I suspect the others will be little if any better.

Have you tried looking in the tiger forum for the answer

Basically I am thinking about using freestart but I am put off by their £149 upfront fee. They have phoned me regarding a facebook store & said they will do me a shop that normally costs £199 for only £149 & a free facebook store. I am wary though. Do you know this company? I can't find any reviews on them anywhere & they have been in business for 11 years so they tell me.

Sorry if I have not been clear. I want a website that I can import all my ebay listing to. I don't have the time to list 1800 ebay items again one by one on a website. I am not interested in Tiger. They do not offer free support like freestart do.

I phoned them to find out if they charge exrtra for SEO & asked if there was a freephone support number. The answer was Yes they charge extra fpr SEO & No there is no free phone support. It's 10p a minute

That can be done by importing a CSV file of the ebay listings to a plug-in of an e-commerce site you chose.
